THE SCHEDULE:

There are 3 events. Come to one or all!

FRIDAY: "Fragile No More" (is a stand-alone day)

  • Explains how white fragility can come up in activism. And gives hard skills and practice space to test out what it feels like to step-in, in integrity, and say the right thing when you witness harm being perpetuated.

- The real local history of colonization

- Healing Historical Trauma

- Spiritual Activism

- working with Natives toward common goals

- letting go of unconscious racism and privilege

- taking the lead from indigenous activists and community leaders

- making real relationships with real people, face-to-face in real-time. At dinner and beyond! And what it looks like to do this in integrity with Native peoples. What would it take to have done enough Work on yourself and your institutionalized-racism & patriarchy to be trusted by Native people?

EVENT FACILITATOR:

Sweetwater Nannauck (Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian)

Director of Idle No More Washington

She conducts workshops in a respectful way that are both healing and empowering.
